Hi, I'm Laura from Inventors & Makers. Our self-led virtual workshops and clubs are designed to make STEM accessible for you to do from school, nursery or home.

We do all the hard work of planning and teaching STEM for you. We even use resources and equipment you'll probably already have. So all you need to do is get yourself set up and press play on our videos.

This workshop is linked to the theme of plants and growth with exciting activities to grow from seeds, make nature artwork and make celery change colour, and all the teaching and planning to do the activities in your own setting.

We'll be looking at the stages of growth of a bean for you to try yourself, creating nature artwork, and making celery change colour, all using simple resources.

What you get:

A Little STEAMers on-demand workshop to do any time that suits you
Optional training video and information sheets for your staff to use before you get started. These can also double as part of their professional development

You'll need 45-60 minutes for the workshop but you could continue on with the activities at stations for a couple of days.

For £59* you can use the workshop with as many groups/classes as you like for a whole school term on your own schedule.

Please be aware that for this workshop you will need to source some simple materials in advance such as beans to plant, jam jars, celery and flower dye. We estimate the total materials costs for running this workshop with one class of 30 pupils would be £10-£15 with each additional class costing less than this.
