This workshop focuses on machines and mechanisms as we learn about some of the different kinds of machines that engineers can build.
It's perfect for all of your KS1 pupils to learn about engineering and mechanisms and to take part in hands-on engineering activities.
"The children loved the activities - they felt like games so they didn't even realise they were learning."
Children listen to a story and then take elements of the story to build with levers and pulleys. There's an additional Bonus Activity which continues the workshop to learn about and build ramps or inclined planes.
They'll be problem solving, collaborating and thinking creatively as they learn engineering concepts and skills linked to the Design & Technology National Curriculum as well as cross-curricular links with maths and literacy.
The workshop will take around 60-90 minutes.
